Dimitri de Perrot creates spaces for listening. They emerge through a dialogue with places, people and their stories – on theatre stages, in museums and in public space. With subtlety and poetic precision, his work invites audiences into a deeper listening to both outer and inner worlds, creating a shared experience while leaving room for each person’s own imagination.
In Paris, de Perrot transforms the foundations of the recently renovated Centre Culturel Suisse into a vibrating, resonant ground, inviting visitors to lie down and listen. Those who settle into the space embark on an acoustic journey through the layers of the earth, descending into its murmuring depths before returning to the vibrant surface where our everyday lives intersect.
The entire building becomes a resonating body – a living architecture shaped by listening. Amid the dense rhythm of the city, UNTER UNS opens a clearing: a moment to pause and reconnect with what literally supports us every day – the ground beneath our feet. It is where everything begins and where, ultimately, everything returns. In a world that grows ever louder, faster and more saturated, UNTER UNS reminds us of the quiet, creative power of listening.
